Loopdrill Download

Loopdrill support

Loopdrill is a music practice app that slows songs down without changing the key, loops sections, shifts pitch and equalizes imported files so you can learn by ear. If the answer you need is not below, email us.

Frequently asked questions

How do I import songs?

Tap the + button in the Library tab. You can import audio files from the Files app or browse your Apple Music library. On Mac, use File > Open (⌘O) or drop files onto the library.

Why can't I use EQ or pitch with Apple Music?

Apple Music streams play through Apple's player, which does not allow EQ or pitch adjustment. Import the audio file instead if you need those two controls. Speed, loops and bookmarks work with Apple Music.

How do I loop a section?

Set the A and B points with the buttons below the transport controls or by dragging the handles on the waveform, then turn the loop on. Long-press a handle or the playhead to move it at one-tenth speed with a magnified view. Loops can be as short as 0.4 seconds.

What audio formats are supported?

MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, AIFF and other formats supported by iOS and macOS.

Does Loopdrill work on iPad and Mac?

Yes. One download covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. On iPad the library and player sit side by side in a wide window. On Mac, Space plays and pauses, ⌘← and ⌘→ seek 5 seconds, ⌘L opens lyrics, ⌘⇧L toggles the loop and ⌘, opens settings.

What is Lyrics Practice Pro and how do I restore it?

Lyrics Practice Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks the lyrics practice workspace, consecutive-line loops and timing tools. Open Library and tap Pro to see the price, try the sample, or restore. A purchase made on one device is available on iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in with the same Apple Account; if it does not appear, tap Restore Purchases on that device. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Where do lyrics come from?

Import an LRC file or enter lyrics you have permission to use. Online lookup is off by default; enter an LRCLIB-compatible HTTPS server in Settings and enable it to search. Not every song has timed lyrics available.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

Imported audio, saved lyrics, bookmarks and practice settings are stored on your device. Apple Music playback uses Apple's services. Only when you enable online lookup and tap Find Lyrics for a song does Loopdrill send its title, artist, album and duration to the HTTPS server you entered. Audio, saved lyrics and bookmarks are not uploaded. Usage statistics are shared only if you opt in. See the privacy policy for details.

Apple Music shows an hourglass and does not play.

Playback preparation waits up to 15 seconds and then shows a retry option. This usually happens when Apple Music needs you to confirm its privacy notice or sign in again in the Music app. Open the Music app once, then return to Loopdrill and press play.
