Practice an A–B loop with Apple Music: features and limits

Use eligible Apple Music tracks for speed and section practice, understand the limits, and diagnose a track that is still loading.

Loopdrill editorial ·

Start with a playable library track

Allow the app to access your music library, then choose a track your Apple Music account can play. Account eligibility, service access and network conditions can affect playback; not every track or offline situation is guaranteed.

Check normal-speed playback first. If it has not started, changing loop boundaries will not solve an account or loading problem.

Set the time interval yourself

Place A at the start of the passage and B after the end, then enable the loop. Slow the track when you need more time to hear the rhythm or play along.

Time-based A–B looping and speed control are free and do not depend on lyrics. Use a slightly wider interval when the entry or connection to the next phrase is difficult.

Know what the player does not provide

Apple Music playback does not support pitch transposition or EQ in Loopdrill. Use an authorized imported file if you need those controls. The app does not extract Apple Music audio or remove its protection.

Lyrics shown by Apple Music are not automatically available to the app. Lyrics practice uses your imported LRC, your own text, or an explicitly requested lookup against a server you configure.

When a loading indicator stays visible

Check whether the track plays in Music, whether the account has access, and whether the network is available. Reopen the track after playback preparation completes.

For a support report, describe the device, system version and reproduction steps. Do not send your account password. A file-based track can help distinguish a general player issue from Apple Music access.
